My guys are babies still, I guess, and don't play like I expected them to, I assume because they are still young. I think right at 10 weeks. Don't get me wrong, they play, a lot. But no bouncing and prancing and crazy excitement. How can I encourage that?

Try using a towel. Mine love it. Wave the towel wildly back and forth over them and in front. Mine go crazy!

Try anything that squeaks, bells, crinkles, plastic bags (make sure you watch them for suffocation purposes), anything that makes noise makes Apple go nuts. Its pretty funny.

My two love there crinkle tunnel, it makes a plasticy sack noise. Also like Jaycee said, mine too will go crazy over a towel waved at them, trying to catch it, or jump on for a ride, they like to be pulled around on it like a sled. Mine also like ping pong balls, or any ball, we play keep away rolling it back and forth.

Tobys all time fav toy, (he even starts talking to it as soon as he sees it) is a cat teaser toy that I picked up at the grocery store for a few dollars. Here is the normal ferret one from marshalls. www.ferret.com/item/marshall-ferret-interactive-teaser-toy/Another one of his favort things is taking a large potato and rolling it around the floor. He wont play with balls, but he loves that or large apples. One of my 'must haves' would be the Tunnel. Tie it in a knot and they have a blast running and flipping it around. Your guys are still little. That a good three minutes playing with something is about the same as your or I sitting down and playing with something for an hour. Theres just so much to see and smell and just not enought time! My favorit game is to play is the "move the kong toy". Toby is very sure that no one should ever see him play with his Kong and he gets so very upset when I move it or pick it up to give back to him.

Well, they did have a ball with the pile of towels in the crate after bath time last night! They have a fabric tunnel that they play in some. We'll experiment.

Digging makes my pair absolutely lose their minds. We keep a flower pot full of rice and soil out on the balcony, and when I feel up to watching some utter pandemonium I just set them down in the pot and watch the sparks (and dirt) fly.

We did the first out of cage time in a room tonight! Lots more room than a play pen. They dooked a bit, and immediatly hid under the coffee table. But, they couldn't resist my toes, so they had to come out and play! They had a ball, and wore themselves out in about 30 minutes. It was their second time out of the cage today, so they were already tired. I'm proud of my babies, they did good!

mine love their pingpong balls, any plastic container that they can climb in and then fight with another ferret on the outside(it funny to watch them trying to "fight" through the plastic, plastic bags ( i cut of the handels and and rip a large hole in the bottom and watch very closly) the towel "train" like jaycee mentioned, paper balls, and anything that makes noise.

I let them play with the grocery bag, the recycled kind that you buy and use forever. So, today, I bought them a crinkle sack. And they played with the grocery sack...

Put the crinkle sack in the grocery sack. Then its more of a maze. I have a box full of plastic bags that Apple plays in. He can't get enough.
