she ate some kibble but not very much. I am afraid to syringe feed her because last time I did that she got so stressed her rectum prolapsed. she hates anything through a syringe. at this rate it may be my only choice though. i'll try it. thank you.

My 3 went though an entire pack of gizzards and hearts yesterday, today they have devoured 2 chicken legs and its only 12:30 pm! I fed them at 9 am. They are doing well. Tigger's ear is still infected but the symptoms are going away over time. I've been cleaning her ears every few days and it seems to be helping. I've still been putting her ear drops in and thats also working. she has been able to run around without tilting her head which is a great sign. My vet said she will be ok until i can get her in, in a few weeks. It isnt irritating her in any way. I feel bad about it still being a little messed up so I will be taking all 3 of my fuzzies to the vet at the same time. I have discovered I cant take them for the might treatment 1 at a time because I always have to keep the treated one quarantined and that depresses all of them. These guys are a lot of work but totally worth it. they are doing good with the diet you suggested. though i am having trouble making them eat liver. i dont think they like how slimy it is. i think i will have to make soup with chicken and liver to get them to eat it

You can also do a soup of liver puree, with a little heavy cream mixed in. They usually like the taste, and heavy cream doesn't affect them like normal milk would. Not as much lactose. I'm glad they're doing so well with the meat and bone! That's fantastic Keeping fingers crossed Tigger's ear heals up quickly, poor baby! So, what meats are they eating now?

my little guys love raw. I think the diet has been helping Tiggers prolapsed rectum issues. it seems to be easier for her to use the bathroom than when she was on kibble. They are eating chicken, turkey and beef. they dont care for the beef much. They have also been eating chicken gizzards and hearts. I know they need more types of meat and muscle, organs ect in their diet so i am still hunting the local grocery stores. I've hit upall the ones in my area and no luck. I didnt want to resort to it, but i think I will be ordering some frozen mice. It really creeps me out, but i love my furkids and i know i have to get over my emotions to take care of them. thanks for being so patient. I've got a baby sitting job now, 50-60 hrs a week so I have been very busy. tonight my kids will be playing for hours on end since I get off work early. I will be on here AT LEAST once a week from now on. I know this is what they need and I cant slack off on any of it. Thank you so much for your patience

I know what you mean by busy!! I run my own business, so between the actual working, doing all my paperwork, reconciling accounts, banking, and chasing down receivables, I likely put in at least that Then add in moderating in a couple forums, and mentoring here, and WOW The good thing is the ferrets can run while I'm doing my bookwork. Anyway- glad they are eating well. Can you set up a menu to give me an idea of exactly WHAT they are eating, and when? We really have to get these guys on a balanced diet for their long term health. I cannot stress how important that really is!

lately all they have been eating is chicken, beef, chicken liver and chicken hearts and chicken gizzards. Tonight I will be going out to the big grocery store that has more of a selection. I am also going to go to a world store to see if i can find some venision, chicks ect. I'm taking the menu suggestion you sent with me as a grocery list lol. I feel bad that it has taken me so long to get them on a good diet. with my new job I have had trouble balancing out my time to get this kind of stuff done, but now I'm pretty sure I have it straightened out

Sounds good! Just to give me an idea, can you write up exactly what they are eating now? All the meats, bone in, boneless, and organ. And when they are getting them? Thanks!

OMG! I hope it isn't. Feel better soon! And you do know if they are getting 3 proteins, as well as bone in, and organs, you can be graduated? Why not post your formal menu, and we'll tweak it where necessary?
