I've had the last 4 days off from work so I thought, what better time to start the switching to raw? If you've seen my post about our 1st soupie success, you know the transition is going well. What I didn't expect is that I have created meat-craving monsters! I was intending to only give soupie and/or whole bits of meat in the evenings. Mornings at my house are just too rushed. I was putting on my shoes when the boys woke up. They were pushing each other aside at the front of the cage, DEMANDING their soupie. Well, they got it. Apparently my strategy of "feeding raw as a supplement to kibble" isn't going to work. I didn't give soupie yesterday morning and Asher ate one piece of kibble and glared at me. "There, I ate some, I can has meat now?"
Ok, anecdote over and a real question: how do you get your ferts to try different meats? I want to try another meat other than chicken after this soupie is gone. Not sure if I should blend it with chicken or just make a soupie with the new meat.

You can mix a new puree with the existing, or do it by itself, see if they'll accept it! But why not try offering a few pieces cut small before the soups? See how they take to it. And one way to have them on raw, and still have time for everything else is to portion, baggie, and freeze ahead of time. That way, you just put a couple bags in the fridge to defrost, and basically dump it in their cage before you go for the day
