I don't know how I feel about all the veggies, flaxseed, and nuts that she was putting into the food. But personally I am not really a fan of "Barf" style diets where there is excess veggies, extra, supplements, and mostly ground food. I feel that whole raw (also known as a raw diet based on the prey model) is always better then ground raw if your ferrets/dogs/cats can eat it. For those who don't know the difference between BARF and a raw diet based on the prey model, a RDBOPM consists of whole raw foods (whole chicken wings, not ground chicken wings, organ meat, chunks of muscle meat etc), very little to no supplements, and no veggie matter (unlike barf). I dont really know a ton about the nutrient needs of dogs (ie. dog they need veggies or no) I have heard some say "Yes, include the veggies, dogs need them" and I have heard others day "no veggies, dogs are carnivores". Im still learning about the needs of dogs, they are not strict carnivores like ferrets. I have heard people call dogs omnivores, primary carnivores, oppourtunistic scavengers, and more. It can get confusing. Thanks for sharing that video though, I wish we could see the second part where they actually have the dog try the food.
