A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend is a hunter, and he has offered me some of the meat he has in his freezer, that has been in there for a while and he knows he's not going to eat it. For Free He hasn't pulled it all out yet, but he told me that he knows for sure there is rabbit, duck, and pheasant. He also thinks there may be squirrel and/or quail but not 100% sure. He said some of them are pretty small, and probably a bit freezer burnt, (which is why he didn't bother with them) but would be good size for ferrets He also said that they are "semi-dressed". I wasn't sure what this meant, so I asked. He chuckled and said that their fur/feathers, feet and heads were gone but everything else is still in there Anyway he wants it out of his freezer to make room for better things. Trouble is, my freezer doesn't have room for all of it. I have a couple friends who're gonna let me take up some room in their freezer. He's offered to keep it a little while longer to give them time to "eat it up". How often can I give some of this? Should I be worried about giving tooo many organs, for example? The girls have had rabbit, duck, and pheasant and I know they LOVE rabbit and pheasant especially... They're not picky, for ferrets anyway

Awesome find.....too much organ meat will cause runny poops and maybe smelly ferrets Liver is the major concern (too much vit a) According to what I've read your little ones eating too much organ meat will result in squirty poops long before they will overdose on organ meats. No real point in giving them tummy aches though, just feed it moderately as you would normally. If you find that they have had too much at one sitting feed some pumpkin and suspend feeding organ meat for a few days, until things are back to normal. Remember the whole story of "balance over time". ciao

Where are you located? Maybe someone else can help take some off his hands.
