My ferret latie is extremely thin. Most of her bones are felt. She has very little energy. I have been feeding her punia kitten chow and a soupy of chicken thighs, chicken gravey and heavy cream. is their any thing else i should do?

Has she been to the vet? This sounds like something that needs more attention than more/higher calorie food. Make an appointment and get her checked out sooner rather than later.
Feed her soup every 3-4 hours by hand to make sure that she keeps eating.

I'm backing Luci up on this one. This little one needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. There is more going on than just diet, though it may be it partially. Lethargy and wasting is a serious health issue. Good luck, keep us posted ciao

Definitely a vet. Prior to being diagnosed with adrenal, Sinnead had some muscle wasting, and lethargy.

i have taken her top the vet this is not a new issue when i got her back in agust. she was this thin. she gained a litle weight. i wonder if it is because i gave her more room? and i spend less time with her. she does have a ferret friend . could it also be because she is sensative to the chicken? or can not tolerate fat?should i make up anotjher batch and leave the fat out? she has nasty black poop

Sounds like an ulcer to me. This can happen very quickly. If not perhaps IBD. When did you take her to the vet? Unless, it was within the last week, I would be going back and quickly. A ferret can bleed out with an ulcer. It would also stand to reason why you cannot put weight on her. Both the ulcer or the IBD will cause wasting. How much food is she eating at a sitting? ciao

Latie died at 11 am this morning. she refused to lick the food out of the syringe. her gums were pale this morning. and she was cold but she was moving around and very much alive. i was using a bottle filled with warm waterto keep her warm. i should have kept a closer eye on her. i am glad she went pece fully and before i have my galol blader removed on the 20th.

Without a vet having seen her it would be very difficult for a diagnosis. Refusing to eat, pale gums, wasting...it does sound like a logical conclusion. Ferrets can bleed to death in a matter of hours which is why one should never play around with ulcers. It could also be lymphomas. Unless you took her to a vet for a confirmed diagnosis, you won't know for sure. ciao
