how much should a ferret eat in a day of raw meat and should they have a separate eating area or what? Thanks.

I'm not to that point yet, but a lot of pple make feeding dens bc otherwise the ferrets will run off and stash their food somewhere lol. Other pple use the metal pear-shaped shower hooks to hook a piece of meat to the cage wire. Idk about how much, bc like I said I'm not there yet bc mine are stubborn switchers. Hope this helps!

Depends on their size and the time of year. Durring the winter my two boys would eat a whole chicken thigh each (or other meats of similar size) Durring the summer, sometimes they will split 1 chicken thigh sized piece of meat between the 2 of them in a day. They eat a lot less in the summer than they do in the winter. Basically, I feed them as much food as they will eat. If they are hungry, I give them more, if they dont finish something, I put it back in the frige and save it for the next day.

thank you this will help a lot. I am assuming it takes a while to change over. I have done this with my parrots. We will see.

It took me 6 weeks of scruffing and stuffing before one of mine would willingly eat soups on his own, and then he'd only do it with my hand on his back the whole time! Then one day, he took a chunk, and was off and running Quite literally
