Murphy seems better. I am probably over protective of him. He was out tonight and moving well.

This morning I made a soup of: Baby beach nut chicken water Wysong ferret Ferret soup mix (dry) Salmon oil Hammy and Noah loved it and really ate it up (this is with kibble still available in the cage). Ollie took some too!!! Athena was more interested in playing. Princess, Murphy, and Hammy didn't show in interest that I have seen. Murphy is doing much better! He was war dancing with Noah just a minute ago! I swear he will be the death of me!

Thats great they are starting to take to it too, if princess is a bit hesitant I would suggest putting the soup (just a bit) in with the kibble mix you leave in with them so she learns to like it little by little, but if she doesnt eat it and decides to go on strike from eating then take a step back, give dry only again and let me know....sometimes if you go about adding new stuff very subtlety then they begin to take to it So out of who (if there are any) doesnt/will not eat the raw you feed? and then who will not eat the soup? Im just wondering because if they have at least all had even the littlest bit by themselves then there is promising hope that the transition will be a breeze, and if not it just might take a bit more coaxing, but no biggie I am just curious to see where everyone is in terms of progress and who may need a bit more coaxing

Murphy- Will try soups and eat off my finger Hammy- Really likes soups, eats on his own, hasn't shown interest in bigger chucks Koda- Prissy boy- sometimes I can get him to eat off my finger Athena- No problem- she likes it all Ollie- Seemed to really like the soup I made earlier. Has not shown interest in thicker soups Princess- Well, what can I say- she is a princess! She sorta, kinda licks off my finger, but def. perfers kibble Noah- Same as Hammy, Likes the soups and thicker soups.
The best and more willing eaters are Athena, Noah and Hammy. Ollie and Murphy are next with at least liking soups. And Princess and Koda are in last place.

Ok I would say try the soup in the kibble mix, make sure its a light soupy soup (not too thick just yet) and see how everyone except Athena, Noah and Hammy like it (Im not worried about them at all, they seem to be moving along just great so far) Mix just enough into the kibble to lightly coat each piece but not to the point of pasta sauce or cereal (If you get what I mean, I say things funny sometimes) Tell me how this goes, maybe this will help the process for the picky eaters of the bunch!

Oh I also wanted to tell you, if you want to move onto some more chunks (with at least Athena, Noah and Hammy)....I used to cut up something bland like chicken or turkey into pieces that looked almost like shredded mush when I was done cutting then I would grind up some kibble and mix it in with the shredded mix (my guys went crazy for this) Another thing is that when they get into bigger pieces you can use the same powdery kibble mix to coat the bigger chunks kinda like breadcrumbs, and it usually works well!

Okay, that sounds doable. I will try the soup/kibble mix tomorrow and the big chucks this weekend.

I took some EVO ferret and mixed it with some beach nut baby (beef) and Wysong Archtype I and Salmon Oil- no water. Plus I added some Beach nut sweet potato/ turkey.
Well they all went at it- to smell it and figure out what it is. No takers that I have seen yet, but the bowl is out. Kibble Concern I want to condense the kibble I am feeding. Right now I have EVO ferret, Orijen cat, 8-1 crunchy, 8-1 soft bites, Blue Wilderness cat, and TF lamb. The 8-1's and Blue Wilderness came with the fosters, so I decided to use it up. What kibbles do you think I can down size to? I like EVO ferret the best. And Orijen cat is a great kibble IMO. Would just those two be ok? Right now I am almost out of the 8-1's (not the best kibble IMO), the TF, and Orijen cat. I have a full bag of the EVO and Blue Wilderness. Let me know what you think.

Well the kibble mix was a flop . I think I will add some water to it next time and try to make a chucky soup. I left it in the cage with Athena and Hammy to see if they would eat any during the night and it doesn't look like it has been touched. Oh well on to a new day.

The soup in the kibble might not work at first, but dont get frusterated.....some fuzzies can be very stubborn! Just try the smallest amount (like barely any at all) in with the kibble (but make sure its very watery because it will soak into the kibble and wont be too chunky for their disliking in the beginning. About the food, honestly IMO I loved Innova Evo when I fed it, personally I think its the best kibble for them (I mean its still not up to par for their bodies, but if I absolutely had to feed kibble that would be it)....8and1 is ok but I wouldnt recommend continuing it, I have also heard great things about Orijen as well, so I think these 2 (evo and orijen) would be just fine to continue on for now I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions and/or problems with trying to get the stubborn babies of the group at least trying some coated kibble. Oh and another thing I forgot to mention, another mix you can add into soups right now (like the soups topping the kibble) is grind up some kibble into powder and add it into the mix, this way they smell and taste kibble in the soup as well, which may make the coated kibble more enticing

Thanks! Yea, I figured I would take the kibble mix that I made and blend it all together and see if they will at least try it and then slowly thicken it up.
I was thinking EVO and Orijen. I had so many kibbles here and I was uncertain which ones should I continue. I hope to be able to ween them off if kibble, of course, but until then I want to only feed what is the best that I can get! Plus, that way if I add the ground up kibble they will most def recognize it (hopefully)!

Totally understandable! I fed mine evo before the switch too I think they would like the kibble mixed in, hopefully it will give them a bit of a familiar taste! Let me know how it goes!
