Holy breakthrough Batman! Weasel decided it was a good idea to start hoarding the meaty bones! I made a game out of it Put some half day old bones and the remaining meat in a bowl of water for him to fish out. and weasel decided it was a good idea to fish it out and stash it under the bed. (ew) but he was definitely licking it under there so at least he's not absolutely disgusted by the meat anymore Question: So I found weasel underneath the bed cherishing a bit of jerkified meat. (Ew) is that safe? Why does he seem to like that more than the fresh? o.O' any suggestions?

Woo hoo!! Go Weasel! Very good sign!
Yeah I wouldn't risk it. Usually meat is ok for ferret consumption for 24 hours (at the very most) after being taken out of the fridge/freezer. So if it's not older that that it might be ok, but there's always the risk of bacteria.

I gave mink a whole wing to see what would happen. Here's a video! www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZPzuLqR6bMIgnore the boyfriend in the background being silly She wanted to eat it sooooo bad. I wound up having to chop it up so she could get at it better. She's so cute though

Not much. I tried smashing the whole thing into little tiny bits but no one has taken a sample of it yet :/

Hmm well I guess just keep trying chicken wings. It's the best way to get them to eat bones. Crushing up egg shells is a good temporary replacement.
How's Two?

Hey sorry about the lack of updates. Some really serious personal problems have surfaced and I'm unfortunately going to have to put the natural feeding on hold. If you need to lock this board go for it. I'm really sorry Long short things came up and I have absolutely no extra money to spend right now on raw feeding. I'll need to re-think everything and I guess I'll try to restart at a later date when I can afford it.

I'm sorry you're going through tough times right now :[. That sucks. Don't feel bad about not being able to feed raw, these things happen. Just so long as you update us every once in a while on how the ferrets are doing than we're even ;], lol! Hope things get better for you!

Thanks for understanding Once I have some sort of income that can support me buying meat for me, my SO, and three fuzzies I'll definately have another go but unfortunately meat is expensive and they waste SO much of it right now it's sort of sad. Even if I just put a little bit in their cage at a time it usually doesn't get eaten. ._.; Grr.
