TitoRex, my Green Iguana. (S)he is about a year and a half old and (thankfully) showing no signs of being male as of yet, despite being called a he most of his life. Very onery and definitely spoiled. 100% Mean Green and loveable. ;D Tito... Those are the best and most recent pics I have, but he has grown a lot since then. Those pics were taken this last summer. He is growing like a weed. *can't wait till the 5' mark!* haha

So...those are my critters + Koda. All are healthy and spoiled rotten, much to the dismay of my bank account. They are all well worth it though. Tito was my very first of the bunch and Shiiva next. Tito, Shiiva, and Koda will be coming with me to Med School in hopefully a little over a year. Slide2 will probably not but that remains to be decided. I think traveling with 2 cold blooded critters (and 1 warm) is MORE than enough work! Esp bc I will be driving the ALCAN! haha ENJOY!!!!

Very nice critters! I love ball pythons so I have to say your girl is my favorite, but that iguana is definitely a looker. I might have to look into getting an iguana one day. As for being a little calico, she looks like a very nice normal to me, but nothing that I can see says calico. She is very pretty though. I am in love with her pattern!

Thanks! They are all my babies! As for getting an iguana - I do NOT recommend it! They are NOT easy creatures to own and have VERY specific (and expensive) requirements just to maintain life, much less to be healthy. If you want to know more I REALLY recommend going to herpcenter.com. It is a forum like this one and is without a doubt the BEST reptile forum in existence. I bought Tito not knowing what I got myself into. While I love him to death and think he is well worth all of the trouble, I probably would never have bought him if I had known in advance how much would go into caring for him. That said, if you are up for all of the hard work and still want one after a lot of research, go for it! They are very rewarding animals, and very entertaining! haha ;D

I have had an iguana before. It was a male named Taz. Technically he was my mother's and when he began getting aggressive, she sold him. I was too young to care for him by myself so when she decided to find him a new home, I had no say.
I am not an expert on reptiles by any means, but I'm not a beginner either. I go to ball-pythons.net. A great forum for all sorts of reptile keepers. I focus on snakes, but once I have the space I'm going to get into different types of lizard, mainly geckos, but a few others as well (bearded dragons, tegus, small monitors)
Your iguana is definitely one handsome boy though! I love his color!

Thanks! I hope he keeps it, but I am sure like all other igs he will eventually turn a more grey-green. I'll just enjoy it for now. He def has a temper I have had a good bite (my fault) and some scratches (unintentional) but the tail! weew! haha I have had geckos too I had a leopard gecko and cresties. My roommate has cresties, beardies, a corn snake, a turtle, and 2 noisy, smelly guinea pigs. haha ;D If I ever get another gecko, it will be either a Crestie (SOOO cute and SOOO easy!) or a Tokay!

I think I would get a tokay ONLY as a display lizard and I probably would never handle him/her. NERD has some beautiful tokay geckos on their website, but every tokay I've ever met has been very aggressive.
Cresties are wonderful geckos and I really hope to have them again one day. I made the mistake of getting babies from a pet store and they died within a year (never really grew). The next time I get a crested gecko it will be from a reputable breeder that I have researched. I love the dalmation spotted ones.

I have a yellow partial pinstripe crestie. He's a sweetheart, compared to our leos, and I love his non-insect diet. As for Tokays... no thank you. They're pretty... and pretty awful, temperament-wise!
All of our reptiles are from Garrick at crestedgecko.com, who is local for us. But if you don't mind shipping, definitely check him out.

When I did have cresties they loved them some crickets on occasion. This was a little guy we had for a while. He lived for a few months but never grew and eventually died.
