I just joined today and have been looking at lots of different info regarding raw diets for the past few days. It started out as a curiosity, but now I am considering making the switch to it after reading about all the health benefits. I will add though, that I am opposed to the idea of feeding live...feeder mice are adorable IMO and I couldn't stand to see one killed or clean up the mess that would be made. My name is Stephanie and my boyfriend Max and I have 7 fuzzies (Felix, Casper, Trixie, Alice, Sora, Kairi, and Namine) in various ages and all but two were rescues. We also have 4 cats, a shepherd, and 3 kids...its a bit of a full house here One of our fuzzies is actually sick right now, so I have been trying my hand at different duck soups (which haven't gone over well) and all I can get him to eat is the stage 2 gerber chicken and gravy. A couple of the other guys seems to love his rejected soups, so it hasn't been a complete waste. And I think those ones are going to be the easiest to switch over. I know I am going to ask a million questions and I am also pretty long-winded most the time, so if you could bear with me, that would be awesome.

Hi and welcome in board Stephanie Please feel free to prowl around check out the various threads, read through, ask questions...Everyone here is friendly and we have some fantastic information available with a wide range of knowledge to choose from. Check out our diet section, want one on one help...read through the requirements to become a student in the mentoring program. I believe that presently we're full but openings are happening all the time (I just graduated a student today) so if you think you could use this type of assistance sign up Please don't feel that you have to feed prey model. Many of us do but there is many other ways to make your protein levels without ever having to put a furry face on the dinner plate. Please post pics of your little ones and most of all...enjoy I hope that I will be seeing you around and hearing about your little furbabies ciao

Hi, and welcome! As Heather has said- no need to do any live feeding at all I couldn't do it myself. I do, however, feed frozen/thawed whole prey. You don't have to do that either. Their requirements can be met with what you get in your local grocers! And yes- we love pics here, of all your furkids
