Well I wrote about 4 thousand words explaining everything and anything about the ferrets, me and how we got them then my mouse miss clicked and hit the back button on my browser erasing EVERYTHING. So instead of writing it all again I am gonna give you the sort version :-p. My name is Paul and I am a first time ferret owner, My girlfriend, joy, and I adopted Maddie and Casper from a family who had to pick up another job and could not afford to keep them anymore. Joy feel in love with Maddie because when she first held her she feel asleep in her arms. I love Casper because he is a big ol' dummy. He is clumsy and tries to follow what Maddie does and it makes me laugh. Casper is the Albino and he is HUGE boy, he is about twice the size of Maddie if not bigger, and of course Maddie is the Cinnamon one. Sadly they have no warmed up to us yet, but we just got them last night so I do not expect much until a couple of days. Happy to be here and excited to talk to you all and share my stories and comment on yours! See you all on the boards

Hi and welcome to the forum and welcome to the fantastic never dull world of being a "ferrant" Please feel free to prowl, get the feel of the site. Read through the various threads and please ask questions. Everyone here is friendly and we have some absolutely awesome support here. No question is too small. There does indeed tend to be a considerable size difference between the genders but don't let that make you think your little girl can't take care of herself. Most of us have found that those tiny little girls are real pistols. So don't be surprised if you find she knows just how to stamp her feet and scream at her partner to make him do her bidding Ferrets sometimes take time to learn trust especially when this isn't their original home. That first ferty kiss is one of the most wonderful feelings (of course you have to watch out for ferty teeth too ) Good luck, I hope that I will be seeing you around ciao

Oh she is a pistol alright. We have a baby gate to keep them in the room for now (only real ferret proof room at the moment) and I thought it was quite adorable when she started climbing it.. oh what a mistake. She keeps going back to it over and over and over again, they are smart little devils but oh how I love them. Its funny because Casper(the male) started following her in their attempt to escape the room :-p. They are so funny and I am so excited for what days to come will bring
