For those that didn't know about this, Purina tried to sue Wysong over patent infringment for adding probiotics in their foods (which they have been doing for 15 years, whereas Purina doesn't even put in their foods! 
) Purina was basically talking about the benefits of probiotics, but never incorporated them into any of their foods. Wysong never got a patent themselves for probiotics because they wanted to let other pet food companies (at least the good ones) be able to add them to their foods as well. Basically Purina was getting paid by other companies to be able to put probiotics in their foods and created a monopoly Wysong was basically sued for not paying them for Wysong's idea! Even people that fed purina already were starting to switch to Wysong when they heard about this, and joined the petition!
