Hey Jen i've only just seen your post ... well done! glad you've managed to sort your gang out some outside space!! DO get the under side sorted or you'll be minus fuzzies! they are determined lil buggers when they figure out they CAN get out.. watch out!!
i think if you could manage to build or buy one of those double hutches we talked about and add it to one end of that pen you'd be set!

You've inspired me! I'm gonna have to look into designing one of my own. My parents would be so happy! I have a few questions though... Does anyone have any ideas on keeping it cool? An outdoor fan or mister perhaps? Also, what's the situation with cleaning this? Do you have to? Do you have litter boxes? Keeping the place bug-free would also be something I'd be interested in. Is there any way to do this? Brilliant job though, I'm sure your business is extremely happy about having so much space to play!

We use a combination of litter boxes and poo corners.. depends on which part of the outdoor enclosure they are in lol... if you put it on concrete or paving slabs you can just hose the whole lot down...
and be SURE you DO put it on some sort of hard standing.. ferrets can and WILL dig out!
a remote feeding den works well to keep bugs at bay.. i use a wooden box with a hinged lid.. there is also a hole cut in the box and a flexi tube attached... the flies dont go in ...
