Hi from Opie

Hi. My name is Christy and I have a fuzzy named Opie. Opie will be 7 years in January. I have had him for 4 1/2 years now. He is a senior and right now is very sick. He had had major surgery today but I'll post about that in the health section . He is my third ferret. He is cream and a little brown in color. The first one was Bandit. He was my sons and after a while I took over. He was about 6 weeks old when he got him. He lived to about 2 1/2. After Bandit passed I got Misty. She was a tiny dew. I only had her for about 6 months. She was not treated very nicely. Then the love of my life big Opie. He weighs about 4 pounds when not sick. But he is still my pudgy boy. Hopefully he still has a good amount of time left in him. He sure is a fighter. I've been reading this forum for a while now and decided since he is sick I can ask questions here and get other ferret owners input. It seems like a nice group. Nice to meet you all.

I'm sorry to hear that your Opie is ill...what type of surgery? I will light a healing candle for your little fellow. Please feel free to prowl around, read through various threads, ask questions.
