I posted on Craigslist that I was looking for feeder animals for my pets that eat a natural diet. Sometimes you have to be willing to euth the critters yourself, which is easy to do without a fuss. Also beware that your post will probably get flagged down, but keep reposting it, as you're not breaking any rules. Back in TX I had found a lady who bred rats, mice and chickens small scale for her pets and a few other people. They were fed well and well taken care of. I had to euth them myself, but the price was great.

Wait I am confused. Your post title says "Local Breeders" Do you mean BREEDER MICE? Like you breed your own mice to feed to your fert? Or are you talking about buying feeder mice from a local person who breeds them, themself? Sorry I get confused easily lol

Sorry, I meant local breeders of feeder animals - mice, rats, rabbits, chickens, etc!
Although breeding your own is definately another option! One I will one day do myself, when I have the appropriate facilities (an air conditioned shed, LOL)

I work at a local rabbitry sometimes, I can get cull pinkies for $.25 each and whole rabbits (between 4 and 13 pounds each) for $4 each. I will also be able to get whole chickens for a couple dollars each. I can get 200-300 pound sheep for $40 each and cull lambs, goat kids and calves free. Even cull piglets. I don't feed the ferrets a whole lot of stuff from large animals but they love it when I do, most of that stuff is for my dogs.
