I was using a 100% recylced litter from my local pet food center, but to me it smelled. I switched yesterday to YN's and I can already tell a difference. I also wiped down their shelves today and the area where they love sleeping. I honestly can't tell their in my living unless I stand smack dab next to their litter box that was used all night. I'm honestly baffled that these guys have no odor what so ever. My dogs smell worse when they come in from outside lol I've read and been told by a vet that ferrets are cleaner than dogs and cats. The only time they take on an odor is if their surroundings aren't clean (or if they are ill). They're always grooming themselves and each other. If they're sleeping together in a pile, one often comes along and grooms the ferret ("their bed") he/she wants to sleep on

I changed out their bedding today because they had a bit of an odor when they came home. I didn't bathe them yet, but I plan to when they're adjusted. In the meantime I sprayed them with some ferretsheen which made them smell melony! Their cage smells great now that I use the YN's versus the cheap store stuff

Congrats on your 2 new ADORABLE babies!! For the most part, if the ferret bedding is clean, your ferret will be too. I think it's been about a year since I've bathed and all are clean with no odor.

Thanks! I love them so much! To me they have no odor anymore since they've settled in. If they do its very light. Now that they've been on raw for 3 days now their litter box is cleaner. When they were on kibble I had a HUGE mound of poop every morning. Now its a small mound. So theres almost no smell when I wake in the morning.
