I've noticed that Dr. Fosters and Smith sell freeze-dried treats such as lung, liver, etc. Has anyone ever fed these to their ferrets, and are their any opinions on the use of such foods? Thanks

I bought the liver treats for mine and they were like bleh. Cat LOVED them. Yes they are all safe but only as treats.

I've tried all of them, and just like with every other treat, it comes down to the individual. My girl doesn't care about the liver snax or shrimp snappies, but is insane for the lung crunchies... exactly the opposite of the boys. I do like the liver snax because they can be crumbled into soup. Ferrets didn't think much of the tuna flakes, but the cats will literally rip the jar out of my hand if I'm not careful.
I've also tried tendon and tripe twists, and nobody wanted to put in much effort to chew them like a dog would. I might try soaking one and trying again.
[ Here is where I plug the new DFS $6/free healthcare shipping. I have to, I've been forced to look at almost nothing else for the last two weeks. ]
