Coming over from the ferret.com forum, I've been thinking about feeding raw for a while and I think it's time to make the switch. I have 4 fuzzies (Mokkun, Akiko, Tadakichi, and Ovana) and 2 cats (Sasuke and Kiba) and all rescues. Currently feeding everyone a mix of EVO and Felidae but I know raw's better and the expense is getting out of hand, especially since I just adopted Ovana who has adrenal disease and came out of a rough situation, so I'm hoping to offset some of her vet costs by saving money this way as well as expediting her return to health. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions, especially since I want to switch both the cats and the ferrets to a raw/whole prey diet at the same time and we have animals ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 years old...I'm keeping my fingers crossed it goes smoothly. This is the only pic I could find of all four ferrets together, it was the night I brought Ovana home and the other kids were gossiping about her lack of 'clothes' while she checked out the kibble (her previous owner was feeding her Frisky's). Thanks in advance for being an awesome resource Attachments:

Hi and welcome to the forum. It's great to hear that you're seriously considering making the great adventure of switching furbabies to raw. It can be a real awakening There are many here who have already made the journey and quite a few who are presently participating in the switch. So you will have plenty of people to bounce ideas off of Please fee free to prowl through the various threads, read the posts and ask questions. Everyone is friendly and more than willing to help you find the answers. As sherrylynne mentioned sign up for a mentor if you're not feeling like making the leap of faith alone. The program should be up and running by the end of the month. I'm looking forward to seeing you around ciao
