At the orential store here you can buy Balot. I was wondering if it would be an ok treat for once in a blue moon. For those who don't know they are duck eggs with fully developed duckies in them. They are only $1.50 each.
Thanks!

I dont see why not. They would probably make a nutritious addition to the diet. I would assume that in the wild a polecat might naturally encounter some fertilized bird eggs. I dont think they'd make up the staple of the diet though, so I think its a good idea that you mentioned only feeding them once in a blue moon. I think once every-other week would be okay.
Hmmm.....I wonder if I have any of those by me.....

OK, hopefully next time we are near the store I can run in and see if they have any.
You'd be suprized at some of the things in those stores! At mine I can get quail eggs, duck heads, chicken feet, fish, ell(live or frozen), octopus, clams, frogs (live)... And all kinds of other stuff, I've tried all but the ell, heads and frogs. I could never buy something live like that.

I wish the Asian store near me was that adventurous with their meat/seafood selection! They don't really have much of one to begin with, let alone a varied one.
