Is garlic safe for ferrets?? I use a product called Garlic Bug off for my dogs and the stuff is great- no fleas, ticks, no flies on poop and no mosquitos. I've replaced using flea/tick/HW poison for the GBO and wondered if garlic (air dried mixed with brewerss yeast) is safe for ferrets or not??? The product is made by www.springtimeinc.com. Oh and I live in SW florida on a big river/swamp. Would love it if the furballs could take it too. Thanks Jill and Calvin, Hobbes and Alucia the ferrets No, garlic is not safe at all for either cats or ferrets. It's actually quite toxic if they were to clean it off either their fur, or each others fur.

Hi, I am new. I live in Sydney Australia, own 3 ferrets. I have been interested in Neem Oil, and did a bit of research after I bought a bottle this afternoon from an Indian Grocery Store. I found this website with information on using it on cats, www.discoverneem.com/neem-oil-for-cats.htmlIt has links to other various things. I can buy Neem Soap from this shop as well, but have decided to make it using the recipe on this site, as I do make my own soap anyway. So I will try & make ferret flea soap. Hope this is of some help.

All natural way to get rid of fleas is Diatomacious earth there are two different kinds a regular grade and food grade, either can be used. Its a sandy powdery substance I use old spice bottles and sprinkle and rub on to pets every 2 or 3 day. Just be sure not to get in ferrets eyes or let them or yourself inhale. To get rid of fleas from rugs and furniture you can mix the DE half and half mix with Borax leave sit over night and vacuum.
