So I've had the girls for almost three weeks. The males have been with them from pretty much the beginning. So far three females have died. And none look fat. So what to do? I'm thinking of putting them all in a big bin together and just hope something happens. Is there an age at which mice would just be too old to breed? The males were hoppers when I got them. The females were hoppers/small adults. Although the males must be at least 3 months now. So, any suggestions?

At 3 months old I would only just about be THINKING about breeding the boys. Seperate the sexes, leave them for 1 weekk then put them together and leave until you see babies.

Hmm, they're older then that. They must be. I got them at least in Feb, and if they were around a month or so then, they're at least 4-5 months old. The girls wouldn't be so old yet though. Ok, so when I seperate them, can I put the males all back in the same cage? Can I put the females all back together? I would like to, since there are not so many now.

Yup you can as long as there is no fighting.
