I am getting my sister to take on the idea of FULL TIME raw for her Shih Tzu, instead of turkey legs every once in a while for his teeth. I am having a really hard time finding a ratio that makes sense/ without finding another diffeent one two minutes later. I think I will go with ground raw as his main diet (less worry/work for her), and throw in whole stuff when theres time- she has to hold the bone for him.
He is alergic to chicken, in addition to corn/grains and is currently on Wellness CORE ocean (fish)
tl;dr
This is what I have planned for the ferrets, advice given here. can anyone here break it down like this for me, for my canines?
I belong to rawdogs on LJ but decided to try and get help here as I got my best explination for the weasels here. thanks!

60%- Raw meaty bones
30%- Boneless muscle meat
10%- organ meat
Which basically works out to the following on a weekly basis:
4 days per week of raw meaty bones (chicken wings, legs, etc)
2 days per week of boneless muscle meat (beef chunks, gizzards, etc) You can add 1tsp of crushed eggshell per 1 cup of meat if you notice loose poopies on this day or if you want to provide extra calcium. It's not necessary but it doesnt hurt, ya know?
1 day per week of organ meat (liver, kidney, pancreas, sweetbreads-thymus, etc) Organ meat is pretty rich and can cause runny poop so adding in a whole raw egg 1x per week (including the shell) OR a small raw chicken neck (if your ferret doesnt tolerate egg) will help to provide some fiber (from the bone and shell) to keep those poopies firm
