I have bedding all over my cage, so theres no non bedding part...and I don't want to do ferret washings every day...And the little ones don't understand that they're suposed to eat in the box *sigh*

Hmmm....can you take some of the bedding out during mouse feedings? Otherwise, I would probably say you would need to wash the yuck out of the bedding. ..........I would do it separate from your own personal wash, by the way!

LOL so I shouldn't wash it with my white shirts? Get some nice red stains on them? haha *sigh* I guess thats what I'll have to do, OR! I can lock them up in the "sick" cage for feedings! It may work, it may! I'll try it tonight

Good luck! Your bedding will be in my thoughts and prayers if the sick cage doesn't work out for you! And your whites too, I suppose!

Since I'm working now. I leave my house at 10:20, if I make it and leave it for them at 10, will they be ok until 7pm when I get home? If I leave the soup out for them? thats about 8-9 hours. My rooms cold as well, where they are (not to cold, but cold enough I think)

I think it will be ok. I wouldn't leave it in there for any longer, but if your room is cool it should be ok. Good luck with the soup!

Life it seems is always stressful for me *sigh* Bandit is going in for an ultrasound either Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm worried about a heart problem, I got a xray done and his heart looked a bit inlarged but I couldn't find his other xray (I work there) to compare from last year. He's been gurgling for a bit but its gotten worse so I brought him to the vet with me yesterday. In other news, Drake is also going in for surgery to remove a Chordoma. When depends on Bandit's ultrasound results *sigh* Everything seems to be getting in the way of switching them . I'm gonna give them a mouse tonight. Make me feel better

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Bandit and Drake. They, and you, will be kept in my thoughts and prayers. I hope Drake and Bandit feel better soon. With your guys not feeling well, I wouldn't force to much change on them...but if they like mice, mouse them up. Food always makes me feel better, especially if it something I really like. Keep us posted!

Drake is having surgery in a week or two..I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit before his surgery. Bandit had his ultrasound but his heart was fine, he's on antibotics starting tonight or tomorrow morning.
Bandit will still eat some of the mice (usually the legs, sometimes some of the belly. Gloria eats the heads still and half the body. Laura and Drake are still picky crazy little ones that think I'm poisning them.
I havent tried switching them in a while, but all my bills are paid off (finally) and I have money again YAY. If only the kids can stop getting sick *sigh*. I'll see what happens, I really wanted them switched by this bag of TF. I really don't like the idea of them just on TF, but with Bandit...
Thanks for sticking with me Jaycee, sorry I'm not moving very far.

I think you are doing a great job, and you are a super ferret mom. It is always hard when they get sick, but owning ferrets is just like having kids. Someone always gets sick or hurt, there are sometimes fights to break up, and kisses to give out. It is a tough and rewarding job at the same time. Just hang in there! And as always, you and your little ones are in my thoughts and prayers.
