*Update* I watched my second mouse have her babys today. one was fed to the ferrets since it had died, haft and haft, and than one was eaten by the mother. I was chatting to a freind on the phone when i saw it, and the first thing that i said was "Holy Crap, My mouse is S%&ting Jelly Beans" Ofcourse i than realised she was having babys.
So todays menu was a 4 week 5 week old baby mousie, the last from the litter that aren't keepers. Lelloo ate the head, and some skin, than jack ate the back and legs. I wanted to make sure lelloo ate more so i gave her the rest. Lelloo was hissing at jack when he came near her. Evil little kids.
I than fed them one mouse pinkie each as extra treats.
I still scruff them, but they eat it when dangled in front of them. ^.^

Plan for todays feeding- One fuzzy, and one pinkie each.
I also have chicken that i might cut up for the kids and maybe get them to try.

Sorry i havn't been on in a while. I had to get caught up with school, and than life etc.
Update- The kids hadn't had any mice for nearly a month because the females werent gravid because of my young male.
But the other day, my female gave birth to seventeen so today i gave lelloo and jack their treat, and than gave monster his first mouse. He didn't know what to do with it at first like usual but after one big bite he was gobbling the miclet down just as quick as lelloos and jack do. I was sooo proud! :hops: Me wuves My Babies.

Monster had his second pinkie, and i don't even have to scruff lelloo and jack anymore. They eat the pinkies in my hand.

The kids got their rabbies! Lee's pooped and peed in the carrier afterward, jack just wanted to get out, but monster was perfectly comfortable. He was so relaxed, and after he got his shot he just sat in my arms and waited for me to put him back with his buddys. The rabies clinic was outside, and their were tons of animals. Mostly cats & dogs, but i did see monsters freind who walked him and played with him when he was back at his orginal owners. She was suprissed at how big he has gotten. After their shots, They slept all day & night, but were let out most of sunday. Monster was a nut and tried to play with everyone, Jack was too sweepy, and lelloo was just bad as usual. I didn't give them mice-lets because i was too busy, but lelloo is going to have my male tonight since i'm just going to put the female back with her mother. Plus, i hate the cage they are in. GAH. I'll see if dad could do something with the tubes from that cage and the tub they are in. ^.^ make them some fun things to do.
As this is my feeding forum, I am just going to say that lee and jac are eating mice without scruffing them. I use to have to scruff, and put the pinkie at their lips. They would eat it, and than run off. Now i can just hold them, and they eat it. They still like to pick it up and run off so i'm going to keep a hold of them untill i can get my feeding tub set up again for the little buggers.

Sounds good, What are they eating now aside from mice??
What made you decide to get rabies shots for them?? I will never give them rabies shots, everyone but Lakota had their rabies shots prior to coming to live here. Lakota hasn't had one and won't have one. They aren't required by law in VA and it is too much of a risk in my opinion.

I wanted to get them their rabies because while it's not required, It would make me feel better knowing that they are covered. I plan on taking them every few years and not every year. I also don't want them to scratch, or so for-bid bit someone even if they never bit anyone before, and than the people ask for rabbies paper.
Plus it was a cheap, and i figured i would get it to them atleast once.
I am feeding them their soupie as well as mice. Tried worms...ignored, and than spit out. Havn't tried the mealies though. I don't have the money to order chicks untill i get a job again, or even try anything else untill i get a job. Is that smart, or what would you recomend?

I fed off some babys last night. Jack and lee did the kills because they were almost hopper stages. It was rather interesting to watch lelloo pack in Two, and a mouth-full of mice, while jack and monster both ate 1 1/2. XD She's sooo tinnnyy. Monster did have an odd poop afterward so i think he may of eaten too much even if he was eating it himself again. I usualy have to urge him once, and than he'll eat the haft of mouse in my hands.

What is currently in their soup?? If their are just eating soup and young mice their diet probably isn't balanced.
As for Monster, weird poop is normal since he hasn't eaten very many mice.

They are eating kibble as well tss! So it's not tooo bad. The soupie is a mix of boiled ham bones, chicken, and beef meat/bones mixed with baby food. jack and lee love it, while monsters still getting use to it.

Are the ham bones from raw hams or cured hams???
And you don't actually feed the bones do you?? Do you just use the stock from them???

The ham we cooked ourselves, and than i boiled the rest of the meat, and such. I'm not sure if it was glazed by the supermarket. I know my mom put some honey of it for taste. I don't give them the bones because they don't eat them.
