Aww that is such a sweet story Heather. I think it is really indicative of fuzzies though, how they have their perfect friends and that helps them move along through life. And I think it's our job to make that happen for them. I hope Fern and Jack and many happy years together and that Jack helps Fern come out of her shell!

It sounds to me like Fern and Jack are well on their way to forever friendship. Really sweet I"m glad that they're getting along. Their ages are nothing at all as far a ferrets are concerned. Good luck, it sounds to me that your little girl has already got a new lease on life. ciao

I think their ages are fine. Sometimes you have to be careful with babies, that they don't accidently get hurt by a bigger one. Fern is still young herself,I think they'll be just fine. Heather, your story made me cry. That is so sweet how Mischief took care of Napoleon, how Napoleon stay with Mischief & then when the others let Napoleon join their group.

Heather, thanks for sharing! I just wanted to say that Fern seems so much happier with Jack around. She doesn't hide in her drawer anymore, unless she wants to go to sleep...I have seen her do her speedbump under the drawer a few times but not as much as before. I think when Jack gets a bit older they'll be best buds. They both adore each other but Jack sucks on her ear and she hates it! Currently they aren't sleeping together for that reason but we have seen Fern(she roams freely all over the house when we are at home) sneak into the other room to see if Jack is wants to play and sometimes wakes him up..same goes with him.

I'm so glad that Fern is finding a new life cause in little Jack. Napoleon used to chew on Mischief's ears too Mischief would then leave and find an empty cage and climb up into the top hammy so he could have some pease and quiet from the little monster. Napoleon, was a bit of a fat a** and couldn't climb up the ladders to get into the top hammies. He would then crawl into the blankets at the bottom. Once he was asleep, you would soon see Mischief slidding down the stairs and snuggling in the blankies with Napoleon. I think Fern and Jack will become very good friends. ciao
