Great pics! Its neat to see dogs eating whole prey. Please resize them though, They are a tad too large at this time. Many thanks!

Great pictures! I'm not sure if my dogs would know what to do with whole prey Although, Jessie caught a squirrel once and Buster ate it, so maybe I underestimate them!

Thanks everybody! Sadly Tessa is really itchy and yeasty right now, she has corn allergies and she's a beagle. If someone is fixing their corn flakes and drops one she runs over to hoover it up, the vet will just give her flea drops and thats it. Corn gives her scabby hives and when we took her to the vet she combed her with a flea comb, red/brown chunks showed up and she said it was flea dirt. It wasn't, it was pieces of scab. She was put on frontline per the vets request and was still itchy. Grrr Other people in my house will give her chunks of food like BBQ chicken that has corn syrup-y sauce on it "Oh, it won't hurt her" "shakes head"

That sucks, Maria My mother's dog, Teddy (shiba inu X labrador retriever) has HORRIBLE allergies. He's currently on a duck/potato kibble and a special medication that lowers his immune systems levels. Its the same drug they give to human patients so that their body's immune system doesnt reject an organ transplant. I told her to try raw for Ted, but she's not even comfortable with the idea of commercial raw. I wish she'd try it because I have heard from many people that raw can do wonders for a dog/cat/ferret with allergies.

Well, Tessa is hypothyroid (since we started feeding 1/2 raw she takes 1/2 the medication she used to). Hypothyroid dogs do have low immune systems.. Raw has helped her but the main problem is nearly everything has corn in it so any small bite of human food she gets causes her to flare. I also think she has some seasonal allergies because in the spring and fall it is worse, during the winter she was great. We just can't afford to feed all raw to 3 bigger dogs.. They would eat right at around 1010 pounds of raw a year, plus the 72 pounds a year that our 2 ferrets would eat.

Tessa looks lik she enjoys a bit too much food (a little chubby!) but maybe it is the thyroid issue? Is she on thyroid meds? Skin problems also come with hypothyroidism. Is she a Foxhound?
