The dimple piercings suite you really well!! Did it hurt though? I don't think I could ever get my cheeks pierced...What about the lip piercing? Does it get irritating at all? I think the second picture of you is super cute!!

The dimples are so cute! I don't think I could do it, I'm a huge wuss when it comes to my mouth. I had my labret done but it just kept irritating me so I took it out. But I have an industrial, belly button, stretching my lobes to 8g, and my nipples done.
I have 3 tattoos also, but I like piercings so much more.

I prefer the lip ring to the cheeks, but I love actual dimples Really wish I could get my lip done, but A) Work wouldn't approve, B) Hubby doesn't like lip piercings, C) Just wouldn't suit my shape face - I used to have a clip on one when I was a (fair) bit younger LOL

Very nice :> Another piercing enthusiast, I've had dreams of being a piercer/tattoo artist since I was in middle school, but i've settled for just getting them so far. I don't have many of them any more, I stopped getting new ones, and kept running into problems that I was too lazy to battle, so my tongue, tragus, and cart. closed up, i still have my little septum ring though (it's mostly flipped up and hidden though) I was planning on using the money I spent on Ret for my nipples actually :> but I get a much more fulfilling satisfaction from knowing I saved her anyways, the boobs can wait! Tattoos are my real passion anyways, I only have two, but I'm working on a design for my third (well a few... narrowing down process yanno?) P.s. You have a great face for the dimple piercings, I find a lot of people aren't well suited for them, but they make your cheeks 'gosh darn' darling

The dimple piercings are great! Quick random question, how do you have the piercings done and what is the "proper" way? I have always had my ears done with a piercing gun but was told not to have it done like that as they arent sterile but I am not at a loss!!

haha, silly me. I thought I somehow managed not to post the entry I left on wednesday and just reposted it all again.. you rascally second page! what deceit! lulz. but I did notice the piercing question, and I'm very serious about telling everyone i know never to go to a mall piercer or anything like that because: Piercings should be done with hollow needles- but the reason specifically not to use piercing guns is that they can only replace the actual earring (the ones with the not very sharp posts, that pierce your ear themselves) but the gun itself often comes in contact with your ear AND the piercer's hopefully gloved fingers. The only way they can sterilize these guns is with antibacterial wipes which cannot kill any more that 99% of the possible bacterial infections living on it, and because they don't kill them all, and clean them often the bacteria left not only have less competition to worry about on the gun, but are usually the strongest that were there to begin with! if a real piercer is going to re-use any device that is part of piercing (clamps, needles, what have you) they will use an Autoclave, which is basically a medical grade heat sterilizer, which raises the temperature far beyond what any bacterias can survive and keeps it that way for a fairly long time to be sure. It's a method used in a lot of hospitals and Dr offices because it is not only one of the few true sterilization methods, but because it also avoids 'breeding super bugs' by not killing everything. Also piercing guns use self piercing stud style earrings with a clamp or clasp on the back to hold it in place. These are great places for bacteria to hide, and never be cleaned away no matter how often you care for your new jewelry. Not only do the clasp on the back and plate in the front cover the exits of the wound to keep them dark and wet (great for buggies!) but the complicated clasp is tiny with its own tiny holes and coils of metal that you cannot cleanse properly. The only real suitable jewelry for a fresh piercing is a CBR (captive ball ring), a barbell (straight, swirly, bent, whatever) or if you're more extreme and going for surface piercings, they have barbells not made of surgical grade metal, but of a body non-reactive 'plastic' that is bendable. These are good because they come in LOTS of sizes so they can choose one that will fit your healing ear/nose/cheek/labret perfectly, and minimize their likelihood to either pinch the swollen flesh, or be caught during daily activities (like putting up your hair for example). The gun studs swirlt clasps are also much more likely to get tangled in your hair or caught on a stray collar thread than real piercing jewelry is, you can always switch to a stud later if you want one anyways, just wait until it's fully healed and make sure you don't use anything less than surgical steel, gold, or silver (platinum I guess, if you're loaded ) WOO! No piercing guns! join the revolution... dood. -Gan

Good god tell me about it! I actually had my ears pierced 4 times with a gun when I was young, I ended up taking them out and having the holes close, and I didn't have any complications either- but it was much more painful, and took longer to heal. A friend of mine actually had his ear pierced with a gun, and somehow his ear began healing AROUND the clasp on the back D: it was very gross looking, and painful. he had to have his doctor scalpel it out! Yegh.
As for my gun piercings, they closed up again and I had to get them done all over when I was 15- that time I went to a real shop though and got it done right. (2 in each ear one sitting, they really do barely hurt, IMO)
<3 bodmod talk Gan
(p.s. is there a tattoo thread on here? If so I'd be vere interested in checking it out!)
