I'm not sure about your diet question. I make a giant bucket of food mix for them,mostly from stuff I had sitting in my cupboards. You can see what I put in it in my mouse blog which is also in the "breading feeder animals" section. When I posted it, no one had any suggestions on how to change it, so I am guessing it is okay. The mice and rats seem to both like everything in it. There is no way to know if the mouse is pregnant until she starts to show. Pregnant mice look like they have swallowed a golf ball right before they give birth, so if you see her getting larger, keep an eye on her! I looked up "pregnant mouse" and found this video. Wel you have to wait a few weeks.. untill they start gettign rounder i handle my mice everyday so i've been watching my piebald females belly grow a bit rounder, now when she sits on my hand instead of feeling just her mouse body like normal theres a lump pressing against my palm. i swear her belly gets bigger by the second
