Hi, my name is Becka I'm 21 and live on Vancouver Island up in Canada, I'm also a member on Ferret Village.
I've got 2 fuzzies at the moment(my first 2 ever). Loki is a 4-5 year old albino boy that I found sitting at the bottom of my front stairs about 6 months ago. He was skinny, his fur was disgustingly yellow, and he reaked of urine. After a recent vet visit I found out that his jaw had also been broken/dislocated, probably from someone who kicked him. Anyways he's got a forever home now where he can be happy and loved for the rest of his life
My other boy Puck is a 1 year old chocolate sable that I've had for about 3 months. I bought him from a kid who kept him in a seperate room never played with him, and the day I picked him up told me that he'd been left in the room alone for 3 days. It's really heartbreaking becuase he's such a sweet little love-bug who loves to cuddle.
Right now my boys aren't on a raw or natural diet becuase I couldn't convince them to try it. Instead I'm feeding them Evo for now and am going to try introducing them to live mice soon. Next year I will have my own farm up and running(as opposed to living with my mom) so once I start raising my own food will switch them fully over to a raw diet. My mom is a vegetarian so would rather I feed kibble until I have my own place, She doesn't know about my plans for the live prey, shhhhh LOL
Depending on what the laws are like in the area i move too I'm also more than likely going to try using ferrets for hunting rats, mice and rabbits!!
Besides the ferrets I also have 2 cats, slim a 9 year old orange tabby, Pepsi a 7 year old black and white domestic longhair, and small flock of polled dorsets. Titus a 2 year old ram, Mouse a 6 month old wether, Lily a 6 month old ewe lamb(mouses' sister), Pixie a 7 month old ewe lamb, and Clover a 7 month old ewe lamb(Pixies' sister).
