Nothing much new. They will eat on the wings, but won't eat the thighs now. Sometimes I could just scream....

Ok. As of this evening, I have made up a fresh batch of chicken soupie for all my ones still drawn to kibble. I am going to restart those that switched back to kibble on to the soupie...and start my newer ferrets that never have switched before. I am also lessening the amount of kibble available to the kibble eaters, and have spoon fed Whisp and Angel the soupie. So...my clan looks like this:
Piper: Soft kibble/chicken wing on a rare occasion Jax: Soft kibble/chicken wing on a rare occasion Angel: Soft kibble/spoon fed chicken soupie Topher: Raw chicken wings...occasional taste of thigh Sassy: Soft kibble/hard kibble....stubborn Riven: Chicken wings....maybe a taste of a thigh Harley: Chicken wings Jetta: Chicken wings/thighs Whisp: Hard kibble/duk soup/spoon fed soupie Raider: Chicken wings...licks thighs...steals duk soup

The light I am not worried about...it is the end of the tunnel that concerns me. It better be there!

All is going ok today. I had to force feed Whisp a bite of the chicken kibble blend...she wasn't exactly thrilled with me. They are stealing the blend left and right, so I am optimistic about that. Whisp and Angel seem to be my toughest customers at the moment...but I expected that. They are tiny and just are a bit more picky than all my other guys.
Good new though. I weighed my guys today (first of the month thing I do). Harley has lost a little more weight (he was too heavy before), and is actually able to jump now. Topher too...more energy and leaps like 6 inches off the ground. When we first got him in may, he was very lethargic. You wouldn't recognize him now. And Jetta...she is 1 oz shy of being the same weight as my heaviest female. She is going to be big for a female, I think from the raw she eats. I definatley can tell she is more solid than her kibble fed counterparts. The thing is, she is only 4 months old! I can't wait to see how big she gets! I am very excited!

Today, Angel chowed down on the kibble/chicken mixture. Whisp stole a bite or two...but hid it under furniture never to return to it again. Oh well....you can't win them all the first time! I'll be trying again later!

Walking...crawling....it is a very bumpy long road for my crew. I need to invest in knee pads and valium!

I have gotten Whisp and Angel to eat some of the chicken/kibble mixture. I am hoping that here in the next few days I can make the kibble disappear...for good!

Whisp was readily grabbing kibble/chicken mixture and eating it up today. Angel, too, was eating...although a little more hesitantly. It is a slow go, but they are starting to get it.

Hi Jaycee, It's Jennifer here. By the time you get through switch all you'r kids, you'll be an EXPERT at all this Sounds like Whisp and Ange might be getting ready to make take a big step in the right diection here - I've got my fingers crossed. Try to keep that recipe consistent over the next couple of feeding s to hopefully reinforce the acceptanc of the mix. As always, keep up the good work! -jennifer

I am so proud of Whisp and Angel its been a long road for them but I knew that they would get it. Like Jennifer said keep their soupie recipe the same for the next few days and they should keep moving forward.
