 Someone was on CL looking to adopt a ferret, I looked on petfinder for ferrets in their area but there weren't any. It pulled one up about 10 miles from where the rabbitry is that I work at. This happened a week ago, I kept a eye on "her" and got updates every day. I was going to get her in the morning but some things changes and I went Today and hit the rabbitry while I was in the area. She is a BOY, just like Weezer, he is grey with white just like Weezer (but has MORE grey), he has black eyes.. We haven't picked a name yet. We went to the shelter and all they did was copy a drivers licensee and hand "her" over. He was in a cage that must be 12" by 12", we took him out and right away said that he was a boy. The guy said there isn't anyone there who really knows how to sex ferrets, I said it's just like dogs. He went right into a bigger cage that we had in the van. The poor boy was abandon in a house after the people moved so the shelter got him. He is SOOO sweet! He isn't sure about the texture of raw but he ate a few thumb nail pieces of steak already!

Still haven't picked a name yet. Lillian and Jillian are the only ones I've ever picken aside from middle names. I've got one picture, it was on his petfinder profile. I REALLY need to get a cord to go from the camera to the computer so I can post new pictures of everyone, I've gotten two card readers and both stopped working shortly after I got them. We are pretty sure he is still really young, with Weezer ans Lil their paws are pretty much the same width as their arms if you are just holding them. The little fellows paws are wider and not even the tips of his teeth are clear. Here is the pic.  |

Ugh. I think quarintining is harder than we remembered. He's being kept in the other end of the house and if we hold him we wash any skin he came in contact with and change our clothes. He is so cute though, if your not careful he will rill you in with his cuteness and you will have to repeat the sanitizing process a hundred times a day. My hands are all ready dry from all the washing!

Thats the thing.. I don't understand it. In the picture he looks like a different ferret, he isn't that pudgy in person (The camera adds ten pounds huh?) and he has grey on his tail and back. Maybe he was at the shelter long enough to have a coat change.  WHY can the SD reader not work? Whaa! -~Ketlin |

The white ferrets weren't intentional, we just found them and fell in love. I don't mind having a pack of white meat eating beasts. My only worry is that Weezer and Ravi will end up looking alike, you can still tell by the nose but still...

Awwwww, what a beautiful ferret. I cant believe how people move and just leave an animal in the house. So glad you found him!!!! I have three sables that look alike. Buster has more black on his nose and Killa has white paws. Sometimes when we pick them up we have to do a nose or paw check. We are always calling them the wrong name.....ha ha Congrats. When in quarentine over??
