Well guys today is the day. I dropped Willy off at the vets about a half hour ago, almost had a breakdown while I was giving him a pep talk lol. It's his right adrenal gland so it's the riskier one to remove so I'm just nervous as hell. But the disease made his prostate so big that it was cutting off his bladder and lupron wasn't helping so it was necessary. Hopefully after today he can be a normal happy ferret again. It's funny because he's my one that dooks constantly. He'll be climbing into my dresser where they sleep and I'll hear him dooking away and my other 2 never dook and they're perfectly healthy. He's my little trooper and I hope you'll all keep him in your thoughts and prayers today. I'll let everyone know how it went.

A healing candle is lit and 14 pairs of little paws are sending healing energy. Good luck, little one ciao

Thanks so much. The vet called me and everything went very well. What happened was his adrenal gland was so large that it was displaced his organs it was actually his left adrenal gland that was the problem. How crazy is that lol. But because of that he was able to remove the entire gland and organs are back in place now and he said his prostate should shrink back to normal within about 2 days. He's doing really well, he was always my little trooper. So I'm really happy I'm picking him up in about an hour and a half so yay!

That is absolutely amazing news! Not only to come through the surgery so well, but to get the news that it was the left one. I'm very happy for you both.

That is amazing that it turned out to be his left instead of the right. I would have to say that qualifies as a miracle. I'm glad he is doing well and has a speedy recovery and continues to dook on!

Thank you so much everyone! Willy is doing really well. He's already up and walking around even though he's doped up half the time lol. He's eating, pooping, peeing, all the things he should be doing. I'll be so relieved when he's all healed. It'll be interesting to see how he acts when he's not sick anymore. I got him in December last year and shortly after he started losing fur so he's been sick since I got him. He also had insulinoma since I got him. So I don't really know what he was like pre-sickness. He's always been my sick boy and never really acted like a ferret besides his dooking.
