Gas has went up $.25 a gallon here Today and there is a county 30 miles from here and their gas is up to $6 a gallon. All the stations in the area are being gaurded by sherrifs. They are saying it is because of the hurricane.. And this city has mid priced gas

At around 5 PM Today most prices were between 4 and 4.49 a gallon. By morning it's supposed to be $5+ everywhere in my area.

Gas hasn't reach $5 yet as the news said it would. There are still plenty of places with $3.69-$3.79. Some with $3.99 and yesterday on the interstate one place was changing it to $4.39, but that is THE worst price in our direct area so far. And with Ike weakening, I wouldn't imagen that it will really hit that $5 mark Today. But last night one of my aunts called in a panic because she didn't know what to do about getting gas before it is either gone or goes up. So she's filling up all of her cars on her property that aren't in use. BUT gas there is still in the $3.35-$3.40 range Today. *Roll eyes*.

Wow! What are ya'll paying now? Prices ever went up that high here and I'm in a declared disaster area! We're paying about $3.44 now. It did go up to about $3.69 and there were some instances of price gouging, but over all I don't think it really got too high. Of course, I didn't bother waiting in the hours-long lines for gas, either. I filled up before Ike and waited until gas lines were short (about 3-4 days later) to get it again. I love my fuel efficient Civic!

I don't really have to worry about the price of gas right now, there isn't any in town to buy no matter what price it is >.<;

On September 14 driving back down to Dayton I didn't think to fill up, however I got down here and all the gas stations were out of gas in my area. I ended up having to put 2 gallons of super in my car to make it to work, and that was a little over $4/gal. Finally it has dropped down to $3.35 this week, last week it was $3.75 and thats when I got it! I might fill up now just to get the low price!

Yup, really, tons of cities in Georgia are completely out of gas in the Atlanta area and have been since about 2 days after Ike. We've been having to mostly fill up out of town.

Gas prices here are all $3.20-$3.30 something as far as I've been seeing. And Kroger (where we get 99% of our gas) started a new program and for every one hundred gollars in groceries you buy in a month you get 10 cents off, the credit can only be used once and you start earning more after you've used them. So, we spend about $200-$400 on groceries a month so we will get out gas for about $3.10-$2.99.. One guy spent $1000 on groceries.. Could you imagen getting gas that cheap? Thats a dollar off per gallon! -~Ketlin
