i thought those ferrets were 'indirectly switched' because their owner had done it with a previous ferret in their business

Yes but also some are indirectly switched because the owner had learned enough about switching to raw by reading through the posts here and asking questions if they have any without having a mentor.

I've been gone for about a year, but I switched Frank two years ago using your program, and then last valentines day I adopted a craigslist Ferret who has a chipped fang and was eating kitten kibble for a few years. I switched her over to mice in only a few weeks. So to update your list, take 'Frank' off the single ferrets switched and add 'Frank and Beans' to your business of 2 list. They both eat mice, rats, chicks, rabbits, crickets, quail etc.

a correction needs to be made...
i have a business of 10 and 5 are actively being switched:
booboo, duncan, finola, oberon, winston
5 are being gently (occassionally) introduced - which will be ramped up to a more active/focused switching this weekend:
chauncey, grizel, noodle, pixie, taco
and let's throw rusty (cat) in there, too!! he acts like a dog and wants to be a ferret (poor kitty with the identity crisis/conflict) and has been bugging me daily for raw, so, he's also being introduced to it - been just little bits here & there because i already had meats portioned out and didn't really have extra other than a bit of a taste for him. he'll be getting more once i stock up again and portion out some for him, too...

Can we indirectly add Maisey ane Ollie? They have Wysongs and raw liver and heart, just playing with chicken necks at this point mostly Ollie- he will eat anything being so young and hopefully expand Maisey's appetite....waiting on mentoring program but taking in all the info-thanks much!!

It's been over a year and I never even noticed this list! For the indirect part of the list, I have four ferts (Mokkun, Akiko, Tadakichi, and Ovana) and three cats (Sasuke, Kiba, and Kyou) that I've switched to a home-made ground raw diet without a mentor, but this board has been my primary source of information and inspiration  . |
