So I went back to college today. I took a year off to work on all the Holistic Ferret Stuff (the website is coming out soon! I promise! We are just a month behind schedule, so it will be out on or around the first of Septmeber). Anywhoo, I went back today and I almost had a nervous breakdown! I havent been around that many ppl my age in a while. I was literally having waves of panic. I normally hang with people that are older then me, and I just have never "fit in" with kids my age. Dear lord and the outfits on some of those girls. I'm sorry but I DONT need to see 1 inch of your butt cheek. Those aren't shorts, those are underwear!!! Im happy to be back to school and progressing towards vet school but dear lord can I forgo interaction with my peers? I LIKE being around people my age........just not 100 people that are my age (in my Chem class).

Oh boy. I know exactly how you feel.
Try going to Michigan State.... girls pretty much wear bikinis to class, and in the winter just throw some leggings (SKIN TIGHT, I might add) under their skirts...tucked into their ugg boots...
And that's what 90% of the female population at msu dresses like.
I dont know...its something that makes you happy to be you, though. Sets you apart, and makes you happy to know you're not a dime a dozen.
I just like to sit there and people watch. People can be fascinating, intriguing, dumbfounding, idiotic creatures, and it's amazing the things you can catch if you watch! haha

I dont like those outfits either its crying out to be violated or to stare or to touch me. and Giuli dont worry im 19 and the ONLY person in my age group i get along with is my best friend adrian whos 17 and was brought up by a gay guy and is also an only child. We have similar veiws and personalities XD but other than that i HATE most of my peer group they are pretty much moronic spoiled brats or people trying to be something else or dont like me becase i refuse to change to please others. I'm comfortable with myself and if you dont like me kiss my arse is my attitude and hales i KNOW what you mean about MSU i went out there the other day to get my books for LCC and damned near fell over at the semi naked girls! i had beast with me and i kept getting stopped XD people wanted to pet him cause hes a ferret.

Hee Hee I know what you mean in philly there are about 3-4 colleges (U of Penn, Temple, and Drexel) my dr is part of U of penn and my kids dr is part of Temple , and there are some good places to eat around both but sometimes i feel like i need a blindfold for my kids. My 6 year old wants to dress like some of them and i only want to go and cover them up and hey im only 28 so its not like im some old prude. Now my hubby and stepson dont mind the view but their boys so whatcha gonna do even though they both would die if either me or the stepsons girlfriend started dressing like that.

When I look at girls like that, the ones who wear skirts when its 45 degrees outside, I just think about how much they must be complaining to the girls and guys they are with about how cold it is! I'm in my jeans and a long sleeve shirt just laughing and able to hang outside with my friends without shivering! Thats what it was like at my college. But now being 25, sometimes I go back and try to dress a little sluttier just to fit in! LOL But then I complain and nobody likes a girl who complains and doesn't know how to dress in cold weather. Thats how I look at those girls, high maintenance types. Besides, I have a nice butt and it really shows in these jeans.

I agree with charmantpapillon. If you're going to dress like that, don't cry when you get harassed. I don't dress like that because I don't believe it's right to tempt other women's husband's to look at another woman. Or for single guys to be tempted by a married woman. I don't think it's "prude", I think it's considerate. Leave something for the imagination. I also think that it's retarded that women cry and moan all the time about men being pigs and how they're treated unfairly in the workplace, etc, then turn around and demean themselves by the way they dress. But, that's just my personal opinion, FWIW.

THANK YOU JENN and some men dont JUST look they take advantage and violate these women. you dont ever hear of a MAN getting raped because he was too scantily clad but you hear about women getting raped all the time and THINK about what they were wearing at the time.
