I think everyone uses is straight out of the bottle full strength. I used it full stregth. Just pour some on a rag and wipe the area. What you do first is clean it with an all purpose cleaner. Guili uses clorox anywhere spray first to clean then the hydrogen peroxide to sanatize.

OK, so I'm a bit late on this topic - but it is a good one!
I use the clorox anywhere spray. I also use Sun And Earth cleaners (http://www.sunandearth.com). I found out about Sun and Earth via Zoo. She uses it all the time at her sanctuary, and you figure if you have 70 hospice ferrets in two rooms, the stuff has to be good! I love the stuff, and use the dishwashing detergent, the multi-cleaner, and the laundry soap and softener. I didn't really like the window cleaner all that much - it left streaks.
I use vinegar for celaning as well, if I feel there really is some stubborn odors.
