6 Months Since the Switch- EVALUATION #2: 1. Its been six months since you and your ferrets graduated from the Holistic Ferret Mentor Program. Are you still feeding a kibble-free, natural diet? If yes, why? If no, why?they are still eating a natural kibble free diet and loving it. i still feed this diet because i feel it is the right thing to do. it is a true investment in my kids health. i hope it will help them live a longer more healthy life. 2. Since its been six months since you graduated from the HF Mentor Program, you are now eligable to become a Holistic Ferret Mentor. Do you have any interest in becoming a mentor? There is NO obligation. If interested, please read the following info to see if you are capable of making such a commitment to being a mentor:3. Please post a "sample weekly feeding schedule". Basically, give us an idea of what you feed your ferret(s) each week. This way we can review it (again) and let you know if you need to make any changes to ensure proper nutrition. Post your schedule in the following format:MONDAY: at this point i dont have a set feeding schedule. i know how much of everything, the variety, and nutritional needs. everything is amply met. just depends on what i pull out of the freezer the night before. i keep track of what i have fed them in my head. they get RMB probably 3x a week, RM 2x a week, and organ 1x a week. but as i said its all i my head about what they have had. i cant seem to stick to a schedule. TUESDAY: basically, i usually buy a whole chicken or turkey, some pork, and beef (when on sale.) and feed whatever i pull out of the freezer like i said before. along with chicken livers and beef heart for the organ meats. WEDNESDAY: usually 2-3 times a month (especially if they are sheding) i beat four eggs, some duck soupy dry mix, and usually some pumpkin in a bowl. heat it up for 30 seconds, and serve. it is a favorite in my house. every time i pull out a whisk matilda gets excited bc i usually let her lick it after i whip the batch up. THURSDAY: i am in the process of acquiring a larger freezer so that i can move all the ferret food out of the people food freezer. mainly so i can start feeding whole prey, that i am going to buy off line. i have four ppl living in my house and an itty bitty freezer. so its not feasible or fair for me to fill it with ferret food i think. FRIDAY:SATURDAY:SUNDAY:4. Do you have any questions or concearns regarding your ferret(s) diet? hmmmmm. i dont think so. not yet at least. i will when i stat whole prey. 5. After switching to a natural diet I'm sure you noticed numerable changes immediately. After six months of feeding naturally, what would you say is the most notable improvement in your ferret's health?health wise....... hmmmm..... okay i have a negative- before th switch, they were all very close minded about trying new things. now they try to eat everything, not limited to food. and its not because they are hungry. there is always food in the cage. but still they try to eat things that are bad for them. i attribute this to changing their food and blowing their little minds that food is not limited to kibble. ugh. positive. not health related. but behavioral. penny was SUPER aggressive while eatin kibble. she was always hissing, spitting, biting, drive by nipping. it was rough, no one trusted her, including me. i introduced the raw diet and it was like a switch was flipped! there was a whole new penny! no more biting, she gives kisses, she cuddles. it is great. over all i am very happy with the diet!

I'm thrilled to hear your babies are doing well on their diet. I am also happy to hear they are still eating raw. Can you believe its been 6 months! I'm so proud of you for making the switch and sticking with it.
