Awww how cute. I better not show my boyfriend he wants one but I hear vet bills are expensive and we have enough critters for now. I hope you can get his ears in better shape and his poor little feet look sad.

Aww such a cutie! His poor little urine burned tootsies must have hurt him to try and walk! And his ear- shame on his previous keepers! Kudos to you for opening your home and heart to the suffering little guy!
I'm sure he'll thrive with you on an improved natural diet! Isn't it great that he just might enjoy some of the natural foods your ferret does? Pinkies sound like a good offering, as do superworms, crickets, night crawlers mmmm yummm! From Giuli's post it sounds like they'd even devour pieces of raw meat!
I came really close to getting a hedgehog before I got Josie- but am glad I ventured into ferrets. The hedgehog wouldn't have been active enough for me although it would fit my quirky nature quite well!
Good for you to help him in his time of need!
Cheers, KIm

His feet are already starting to look better. I am going to take more pics on Tuseday (1 week after I got him) to show the major changes he has made! he is even litter trained My little Spunky has a looot of weight to lose so we're letting him run the part of the house the ferts are blocked off from a few hours a day. When he's out, all he does is explore! Since his feet are feeling better, he's starting to finally use his wheel too! Everything is working out so nicely. This has been an interesting week so, so far the only fruit we've tried him on was a banana and he didn't even attempt to eat it. We are goign to Kroger tomorrow and we're going to get a little bit of everything to see what he will eat For now I have him on a low fat cat food like the hedgehog forums suggest, but as soon as I find out what he likes, that will stop! Too many fillers and chemicals. I can't wait to have a kibble free home again I was unsure of ferrets, gliders, or hedgies when I decided I wanted a pet in January. I did my research and fell in love with ferrets first! I'm glad that Spunky has come to me for so many reasons. I'm glad I could make his (old butt) happier for the last few years of his life. His age is unknown but I took him by the petshop and they said he was an older fellow. I also think this is a good experience and I'm a huge animal lover! I think Iwill end up with a glider before things are over
