This isn't natural, but it really helped me! I bought those Renuzit cone shaped air fresheners, the ones you just pull up and set them out. I specifically bought the Odor one and it has REALLY helped take away the poop/litter/food smell, I put it next to the cage, but out of reach of the ferrets. Its kinda gel-like, so if the ferrets eat it, it might melt but I think could cause serious damage! So of course be careful! I also recommend the Raspberry flavor, smells amazing in my kitchen now!

I remember reading that these gel fresheners can cause allergies to ferrets here is what it said in the allergies and eye infections section. Sprays, rug powders, and gel-type air fresheners can cause ferret eyes to tear as well. Make sure to use odor neutralizers, not coverups, and avoid carpet powders altogether. www.cypresskeep.com/Ferretfiles/Body-Eyes-FM.htm

Well of course, you should always be aware of what you are using and make sure it doesn't badly affect the ferrets. However I've had these out 1 week and haven't noticed any problems with my ferrets. I will continue to watch them closely, as I always do for signs of change, but I don't think it has bothered them. I do not have the cones on top of their cage or right next to it, I just have it in the same room, within a few feet. I believe the one I bought for Odors, isn't a coverup, but a neutralizer. This is what I bought, its by their cage: www.reliablepaper.com/Renuzit_Super_Odor_Killer_Air_Freshener_p/dia03659.htmIts working really well and I am happy with it.

I just saw your new siggy Chris, I like it.
I haven't noticed any issues, no sneezing or anything. They act complately normal. I am also watching for any signs. But so far everything is great.
