I would just like to say that I went to the vet the other day, and he said I had the "most beautiful ferret I (he lol) have ever seen." When mention of the whole prey diet came up, the extern was completely surprised. Our vet (who is amazing, and not just because he complemented Mizu) started to explain all the benefits of the diet and how he thought it was a fantastic idea. She seemed quite taken aback, stating that she had never heard of the diet. Oh, and just as a little post-script, Dr. Weltig made the "most beautiful ferret" comment AFTER seeing Hendrix and Fugue (Giuli's ferrets, for those of you who don't know).

Yeah, yeah yeah........*grumble* *grumble*
Fugue is a freak. He's got oily, dry fur (yeah, at the same time!) He's growing into his adult coat. Mizu didnt have the best coat until he matured. AND Fugue is still growing, thats why hes lanky and awkward and not big and muscular like Mizu. Just wait till Fugue matures, then we'll see who has the "most beautiful ferret!"

LOL my vet is awsome to when he found out we were feeding raw his only comment was for us to make sure that we were getting good chicken and prey for the ferrets. To make sure that they wouldnt get chicken from just anywhere so they wouldnt get sick.

I got referred to a pocket pet specialist near my home which I am very happy about. Ferrets are pretty common here in clarksville, so I'm estatic that theres a vet with experience.
