Ok thanks! So lemme make sure I understand you correctly... By mix do you mean meat mush soup or kibble and ground chicken?

both....anything with kibble usually lasts not as long left out as plain raw meat...but if its for 2 days only then its ok...usually any wettened kibble only lasts up to 4-6 hrs but just like I said dont do it everyday, change it after 6 hrs normally

MegaWeasel ate his first raw chicken wing!!! Bone and all! I am sooo happy! He had been eating ground chicken but wouldn't eat the wing until I made it a toy and I guess he realized it was really good! He loves them now!! If only the other two would switch!

thats great! yea the youngins are much easier to switch b/c they havent been on kibble as long....dont worry though we will get everyone on board, just keep up the normal routine...you can start feeding megaweasel whole chunks of raw meat now if you want, start with chicken though.....like maybe cut up some chicken breast for him and see how he likes it then you can go on from there like trying cut up beef and such

Things are to be going well. It looks to me like she is just picking the kibble out from the chicken. She doesn't seem to have lost any weight though.

mix in more water with the ground and try to make the kibble drenched in this mixture so even when she picks out just the kibble at least it will have the taste of raw soaked in

Ok if shes still being picky then we will go another route b/c she is winning the battle lol....make a soup of ground (just a bit), warm water and kibble....you can add in anything else she likes to make it more enticing....then feed this to her (you may need to use a syringe or spoon at first, but hopefully not....if she doesnt eat this then pour this mix (just a little) over some kibble If this doesnt work let me know, then I will go to other mentors that have alot of experience with hard to switch ferrets and get their opinions (dont fret, this is how my Penny was, she wouldnt touch her new foods when they were offered...some ferrrets can be very picky and bratty about it ) We need to try to get her on track b/c I can see how frusterating this is making you and it shouldnt be that way, we will figure something that works (and remember it took me 6 months to switch mine, b/c of Penny and her princess like attitude lol)

I've been trying the poured soup over kibble method and now Beatrice won't eat it! Which is making me mad bc she otherwise loves soup. Megaweasel still eats whatever he can get his mouth around.

Badger will eat the soup from a spoon, but tiny amounts at a time.

ok get too worried, we will have to figure out something else for her....I am going to ask for other mentors opinions who have dealt with hard to switch ferrets/ I am actually on vacation right now and I have limited internet, but I will be back on thurs, so I will get back to you then with some opinions and new thoughts on how to deal with this

Ok sorry it took a while to get back to you, I was on vacation....
anyways here is what Heather had to say about Badger and her picky eating..
"This little one sounds like she's going to need some really personal attention. Go slow, sit with her on her lap, let her lick it off her fingers, use a spoon and see if she can get her to eat it this way. Each time work at getting her to take the food out of the bowl, but don't get frustrated if she won't. Keep hand feeding her. She's still not really looking at this as food."
So try to do this if it isnt too much trouble for you

How was your vacation?
What food should I use to hand feed her? Just the soup? Should I still leave out some kibble with meat mixed with it? Or soup?

The vacation was well needed and great! thanks for asking!
Leave out the normal mix you make (if your little one is ready to move on then go ahead and proceed with less kibble, more meat) start with the soup for her though, see if she will take some raw kibble mix from you and work on from there....let me know what she eats from you though
