I've tried etsy before. Not enough people know about it and my stuff didn't get any views. That or my stuff sucks that much. I was thinking of charging like $40-$45 for an entire 12 piece set. This would include the three hammocks platform and ramp covers and 2 toys. I think that would be a steal considering this one lady on ebay was charging $65 just for the platform covers. IDK I probably wont. I really can't afford to make stuff and it not sell.

Maybe you could do 'made to order'?? Have a pic you take of everything and make them as they are ordered. You could have them send you a msg too for color preference. We just learned how to make websites in my Professional Practice and Portfolio Prep class. It is sooo easy and you can make some awesome websites for free as long long as you don't mind them advertising on your site. Then you could redirect pple to your site from ebay or etsy to get more views.

That sounds like a good idea. The only problem is IDK what ebay's policy on basically advertising your web site on their site is. I'd have to look it up. IDK, maybe I'll go ahead and post in the "Ferret shopping" threads in all the ferret forums I'm a member of and do them made to order. Like you suggest, post pics (once I get my ferret nation and actually have the ramps and platforms for measurements) of what I made, and then give the price and let them pic what colors they want for me to look for. IF I were to do that, is there any one here that would be interested? I don't have my FN yet (and wont be able to get it til the IRS gets off their butts and start excepting itemized deductions) So it would be a few weeks before I could finish the sets I've started now. Basically I'm just kicking around the idea. If there are enough people who are interested I might consider posting it as for sale in the shopping section.

Idk what ebay's policy is either...but posting up in threads would certainly help. I sew mine, so though you are prob much better than me, I should save the money, at least for now. But I really think that kind of stuff just takes time to get noticed, that is why I said just make an example set to post pics of instead of making a bunch of stuff that may not sell. Also look up www.google.com/adsense. Once you have a website up you can 'apply for their program' and if your website is legit (and doesn't have broken links) they will post ads on your site and it will help it get noticed. Supposedly you can make money from people who go to your site and click on the google ads, but idk I have never tried it! (would like to, just no time)

that would be a steal for a bedding set... i know that some people are worried about ADV or whatever so id be careful about that. i saw in another thread sherry talk about how people like to buy from women who had a test for it?
