I have mentioned on here that I take care of a stray/semi-feral cat whom we call Sailor Jerry (after the tattoo artist & his rum), we call him Jercat, JerJer or Jer for short. He is an incredibly sweet cat who i love. I was keeping him quarantined to the out doors (since he prefers the out doors anyway) since last week because it looked like he might be developing congunctivitis but last night the weather was bad and so I took him into the bathroom (I couldn't resist, he was all wet and it was sleeting/frozen raining outside)
I started thinking, "Well, he sleeps with that little orange cat and they are always together and the orange cat hasn't gotten sick so maybe he isnt sick" and while he was in the bathroom I got a closer look at the gunk around his eyes (plus the bathroom has light, the patio doesnt lol) and it seems that its just the natural sleep/normal eye gunk everyone gets BUT somethin tore his face up pretty good. He has all kinds of scratches and cuts, some are pretty deep and the eye gunk is getting stuck to the scabs. So I cleaned the area with a warm towel the best he'd let me and then I put some stuff on him that I bought a while ago for Tequila. Its a disinfectant that helps prevent licking and infection, he wasnt happy with me at first but as i started rubbing it over the worst cuts he calmed down, closed his eyes and started purring. About an hour later I went in to check him and he looked a lot better, I was pleased.
Anyway, I wanted to bring him something a little special tonight. Since he doesnt have front teeth (just fangs and molars) its gotta be wet food and I was going to go by the petstore after work and get something but on my lunch break I came accross this stuff called "Petite Cuisine" Its supposed to be all natural, gluten free and "people food for cats". According to the website its supposed to be human-edible. Anyway I thought it looked pretty good so I bought some. Theyre tiny so I bought him three cans. He usually will only eat friskies or water-mushed zupreem ferret food so I hope he eats it. I wish he'd quit with the friskies but so far if i try to mix it with something better for him he ignores it and saunters off to hunt squirrels.
I was wondering if anyones tried it and what they thought
