I woke up this morning to find Lestat hanging half out of the cage (his favorite place to sleep). He had moved on to the rainbow bridge.
I'm sorry my little one. I tried so hard to make things better for you. I know you were sick, but I thought maybe a raw diet would help make you better. It was too little, too late.
Dook sweetly little one. You're not in pain anymore. You're disease free, and running with friends now.
You weren't with me long Lestat, but I love you, and you will be missed.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss, Lynxie, but you gave him a good life while he was here, and he was able to pass on, happy and loved.
My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

I am so sorry that happened. How old was he? I know it isn't good either way, but at least he passed peacefully in his sleep and didn't have to be put to sleep.

A candle is lit for your little Lestat, to guide him on to his next great adventure. Please remember that what you did for him is worth more to him than you can ever imagine. That love you gave him, caring enough to switch him, loving him enough to offer a piece of your heart to him. Remember they're not complete without their hearts, that's our gift to our little ones. The little piece of our heart that they take with them, our little thieves of hearts. Their key to the bridge. To the wonderful world that is theirs to play in while they wait for us. Wait for us they do and play with those that have walked, bounced and dooked down that path before. Goodbye little Lestat, you will be so missed . ciao

Thank you everyone. Lestat was insulinomic, and also had a fairly large growth on his spleen. It just became too much for his little body.
