ive been taking the bone out of the thigh meat would it be okay to give them that to help with the "not enough bone"? because they were climbing me last night for it and i wasnt entirely sure if i should let them have it

Let them have it. Unlike a dog they won't be able to get themselves into any type of trouble. You can smack the bone with a hammer and break it open to allow them to get at the marrow (this may give them looser stools). Otherwise you can just give them the bone and they will probably eat the knuckles (they're more cartilage than bone) and leave the long bone. It will help teach them how to eat bone. ciao

for some reason i thought it would be like the size of a buffalo wing, to my delight it was like the full wing, they didnt finish one between the four of them but they also had soup

That sounds about right. Great work. Sounds like your guys are really into the chicken and are comfortable with it. Have you thought about what your second protein is going to be? ciao

ICHABOD IS EATING THE WING NOW, sorry had to rejoice in this milestone he was very hesitant but crane was eating it so i guess he was thinking might as well. what i like best about the wing is its bigger then the hole in the box i feed them in and they cant drag it out, well im sure they could but they dont problem solve like we do, i was thinking maybe pork because it seems to be a favorite for atleast a few ferrets i need to visit save a lot and see what all they have

Don't ever appologize for popping in with information or questions. That is fantastic. Pork is another great meat for them, it's mild in flavour and similar to chicken. You can use any protein that you can get though, the only caveat is no smoked meats. Give your furbrats time....I've watched my guys work at sliding mice out of each others cages. Lady "B" s group is caged right next to Fun-Go's business. Boris was munching on a mouse right next to the bars (the tail of the mouse had actually flipped into the other cage) Even though Odin had his own mice, he tried and succeeded in dragging that mouse through the cage bars. The screaming (Boris is a deafy) and the tug of war that went on was hilarious (my only concern was that the mouse might actually come apart ) Odin poofed he was so ticked off. Boris lost his mouse in the end only because Odin outweighs Boris by about a pound and a half . The dooking (they do this when they're irate too) that came out of Boris for loosing his prize was hilarious. ciao

Are you putting pumpkin in with their soupy? That should get rid of most of the hair without needing the ferret lax. I rarely use it any more...I do keep it around for emergencies though. So, Tia is eating some bone? That's really good. It's good when the little ones play together ciao

tia readily eats bone she used to try and steal the bones when i eat chicken wings, like she would smell it out and hiss at me when id move the box as to say: DANG i was workin on gettin that. ive actually had her steal a few before. I forgot about the pumpkin at walmart but i think we have to go back today so ill write it down so i dotn forget, what kind of pumpkin should i be looking for like pumpkin baby food? or like the stuff you use for pumpkin pie? how much should i be adding? this is going to help solidify their poo right? so many questions lol

Not pie filling. Just plain pumpkin. No additives. Don't let her eat cooked bones....they can be fatal....they splinter and perforate the stomach and bowels. Cooking changes the composition ciao

The weights look good. I usually use about 1 tsp to a mix of 8 oz. As you see you can see it's not a whole lot. If you feel your guys need some more add a little at a time. ciao
