UPDATE:
So the vet just stopped by and prescribed both Pixie and Trixie:
Kaolin pectin/Pepto (50/50) - 0.5 ml twice a day Clavamox (amoxicillin) - Half a dropper (0.5 ml) twice a day
He said the kaolin pectin helps to treat Heliobacter, the pepto for stomach coating, and the amoxicillin for infection or ulcer.
Pixie took it quite well, but now I have to try to dose Trixie (if I can catch her!)

UPDATE: Pixie seems to feel better already. I can tell because she is being a pain in the neck as usual I kind of miss the snuggling and cuddling, but I'd much rather her be healthy. Hopefully her stools start getting better, and I don't have to see the vet for a while

That's the nice thing about ferrets, they can get feeling better about as fast as they get sick It also becomes very apparent if you've got their meds correct too I'm glad that she's feeling well enough to be a pain...they're not ferrets if they're not in trouble ciao

I'm glad the meds are working. You're lucky they didn't prescribe flagyl along with the amoxicillan. That stuff is impossible to get them to take. I had to shove it down her throat sometimes...

Flagyl and metro....(sp?) both drugs to be administered in bathroom. Floors and walls are easier to wash and the toilet is right there for "pissy" little ferts. I feel so sorry for them because they find those 2 drugs so horrible on them. ciao
