What is interesting is my Loki has transparent tips to his teeth, and he's not even 2 years old. I am not sure what that means. He's been raw fed for about 5 months so far, and has been switching for awhile before that.

While my oldest ferret (she'll be 7 in March) has one brown canine tooth, the rest are all white with no indication of translucency. She was fed a mix of Natural Gold/EVO feline, along with chicken necks, until she was about 15 months old. At that time, I began weaning her kits onto a raw/whole prey (no kibble) and Minx began eating it, as well. She hasn't had any kibble since that time.
I've looked at the teeth of my other 5 (all hybrids, and ranging in age from almost 2 to almost 6) and they all have white teeth with no indication of translucency in any of them. They've all been raw fed from the start and none have ever eaten kibble.

That's pretty interesting....this seem to be another benefit of raw diet. I'm currently on my second set of ferrets and first set of raw feds.....I'm always amazed at the apparent benefits of raw. -jennifer
