I want to make sure Im feeding him properly. I have been feeding him chicken and turkey thighs with bone, beef and pork. One day he gets chicken and beef and they next he gets turkey and pork and I keep doing that. Once a week I give him some liver and gizzards and an egg. He gets chicken feet as treat (he loves chicken feet) once a week and quail instead of chicken or turkey once a week. Is that ok or is there something else he needs? Is there anything I should change? I want to make sure he gets what he needs. I have been feeding him about 6-7oz a day and his weight has remained the same. He has been having diarrhea but it is going away.

There is a couple of things you might try. Loose stools can be a couple of things. I would first try upping the bone content and see if you get a firmer stool that way. Balancing the meat to bone ratio (this is different between individuals) can be frustrating but once you get it should be fine. I had one dog that required bone daily. That amount of bone would bung up any other dog but it worked for him. My present boy, only needs it every 3rd or 4th day (but then he eats a lot of tripe). He also tucks away 4 lbs of bone in a sitting . If it's still being sketchy then try a bit of pumpkin. In the world of frankenprey sometimes one needs a bit of veggie just to help feed the gut bacterias (this would normally be the whole fur and garbage type thing). If you decide to use a bit of veggie matter always freeze and then thaw and serve just to break down the cell walls as most carnivore types do not have the enzymes to break up the veggie cells. ciao
