no worries about asking my age - i'm 28 - been to the fountain of youth in St. Augustine twice so i guess it works lol my mom had me when she was in her thirties and we stopped getting along once i was in high school.... went from best buddies to worst enemies. which lead me to the conclusion that i do NOT EVER want to be going through "the change" while my kids were going through puberty and all their teen age drama lol i vowed that once i reached age 25 i would be done having kids, and if i didnt have kids at that point... too bad. i love kids, which is why i dont want to put them through a rock and a hard place kinda life. thats not to say everyone has that issue or option. lots of people will probably laugh and say they didnt go through that... and i envy them lol all through the teen age years it was like... if i was in a good mood she'd spoil it with a bad mood, or visa versa! winter time was especially annoying. freezing my butt off and she'd have the AC on full blast lol You look a lot younger than that! I get asked if I am 12 all of the time... *shakes head* People act so surprised when I tell them I'm about to graduate from college! I know the feeling of not getting along with your mom. Mine is a micro-manager and I have issues with being told what to do. I am a little too independent for my own good. Now we are close again though. Everyone in my family had kids young (like 18/19-21 for first children) and I always thought I would have kids young. That is what I always knew - young moms - and I don't want to be old when I have my kids! haha However, now that I am the age my Mom was (older actually!) when I was born it am like NO. WAY! haha I am NOT ready for kids, and I need to finish Med school first as I can't imagine balancing kids and med school! I want to have kids as soon as possible after I graduate Med school though. I want 2 kids and I still want them both before I turn 30! lmao Then I will still be relatively young as they grow up. Not as young, but where when they hit their teens and college years I will not be old either!

Awwwww. Too cute. I believe I would have a hard time releasing it back into the wild. I would get really attatched. I have been called Elli May ,like off the Beverly Hillbillies, on multiple occasions.

She is very precious!
When I was a kid, my sister and I were home alone and we found a baby possum swimming in our pool. We rescued it and kept him warm in a box until our mom came home. She was NOT happy to find a baby possum in the living room. It was really fun taking care of him for the afternoon, though.

You went through the exact same thing I did. My mom gave birth to me when she was 32, so from 13-19 for me her menopause became extreme. If I did not load the dishwasher with all the tiny plates or tea cups in just the right spot she threw screaming fits at me all day and night long, and my dad, who was too fearful of falling out of favor with her - always took her side. It was ghastly, they are many more other worse examples. I was finally rescued at age 19 when my fiance drove 1,016 miles - long-distance relationship - and pulled me out of my mom's house. We got married two months later (he spent those months on his parent's couch in the house while I got his room in the cabin outside, so sweet). The fact you're 28 and I'm 21 only alarms me that much more with how much time I have. I don't want to put a kid through that either. Hmmmm, I wonder if there are Deslorelin implants for women to prevent menopause? Oh, and cute possum!! Haha, way to go self, ignoring what the post was originally about. *face-palm*
